Researchers at Columbia University have published some new research suggesting that deep sea basalt off the Oregon Coast may be a great sink for sequestering CO2. While I’m not convinced yet that sequestration is a good long term solution, it is interesting to see yet another area in which this bioregion has the opportunity to play a large role in the future of climate change solutions.
