This chart illustrates the impact of climate change (through 2050) on various factors, including on the annual catch of Washington coho salmon. The variations shown below are significantly larger than those observed in the twentieth century.

The second chart shows a direct relationship between climate variations and the observed population of Columbia Spring Chinook salmon. As an important part of our food supply here in the northwest, an increase in our climate could have disastrous effect on our region’s economic health.
